STATEMENT
My work has always explored the meaning of home. This theme first emerged in 2020 through my surreal landscape-portraits, where I depict the figure as an environment—connecting people to place. This concept grew from my long-term adventures camping and road-tripping across the U.S., where I cultivated a sense of home on the road, rooting myself through wildness.
Now, the theme of home has evolved within my current body of work, created in collaboration with my close friends, fellow artists, and roommates, Aida Alarcón and Isabella Martino. Together, we developed How I See Her, a group exhibition that has been showcased at the Roy C. Moore Gallery and The Quinlan Visual Arts Center in Gainesville, GA (2024–2025) and will soon be exhibited at The Old Storehouse Gallery in Dahlonega in Fall 2025. How I See Her explores the deep sense of home found in female friendships, the process of breaking ancestral cycles, and the shared experiences of girlhood.
